Faux Laptop With a Phone For Brains by www.bestlaptopbattery.co.uk

Today's best smartphones are really hand-held computers. They run a vast variety of applications, from productivity programs to games, that mimic what laptops do. Their biggest limitations for serious work, gaming, Web surfing and multimedia are their small screens, cramped keyboards and tinny speakers.
Acer 4745G(332G32Mn) Laptop
So, what if you could use the brains and connectivity of such a hand-held computer to drive a laptop-size screen, keyboard and speakers, thus overcoming these limitations? Well, Motorola Mobility has devised a new phone and accessory that aim to do just that: to make the phone the only computer you need.
I've been testing this new phone, the Atrix 4G, an Android device that will cost $200 with a two-year contract and will run on AT&T's network. It's slated to be available by March 6. I've also been testing its unusual and clever accessory called the laptop dock, which looks like a large netbook, with an 11.6-inch screen, full keyboard, touch pad, and stereo speakers. This dock, the price of which depends on when you buy it, has no processor, no file storage and no connectivity of its own. It's dormant until you plug the Atrix into a slot behind the screen.
PTECH-JUMP
When you dock the phone, the faux laptop comes alive. It duplicates the phone's screen on its larger display and lets you use its connectivity and apps. It also contains a battery that charges the phone. The image of the phone's screen, and any of its apps you run, can be actual size or blown up to use the dock's larger screen.
Full-Screen Firefox
Even more interestingly, the dock gives you access to a full, and full-screen, PC version of the Firefox Web browser. Firefox is tucked away inside the Atrix but is available only when the phone is plugged into the laptop dock or a second, smaller dock that's meant to connect to a TV or desktop monitor. The smaller dock lacks a built-in keyboard, battery or screen.
The laptop dock costs $500, but AT&T will knock the price down to $300, after rebates, if you buy it at the same time you buy the phone. That brings the combined price of both devices to $500—the same as the separate price for the dock. The smaller dock, called the multimedia dock, costs $190.
In my tests, the Atrix and the laptop dock performed mostly as advertised. The phone had no trouble driving the larger screen or the full Firefox browser.

Apple patent: Space age batteries to come via Liquidmetal?

Did you know that we are giving away up-to 100 iPads, Samsung Galaxy S tablets, and Blackberry Playbooks? The next drawing is being held on January 27th at 8pm ET. Enter on Facebook to receive your ticket numbers today!
Liquidmetal. Sounds the name of the next Will Smith futuristic scifi action movie, doesn’t it? But it’s actually real, and Apple has gotten its first patent using it.
http://www.bestlaptopbattery.co.uk/toshiba/pa3399u-2brs.htm
Liquidmetal is an amorphous metal alloy (or “metallic glass”) that in one state, looks like liquid mercury or the slick stuff the T-1000 (Robert Patrick) regularly dissolved into in Terminator 2. But in another, it’s a hard but extremely lightweight and incredibly strong, scratch-proof material. According to NASA, Liquidmetal is “poised to redefine materials science as we know it in the 21st century.” (That sounds pretty scifi to me.)
Some experts thought Apple might be looking to jazz up the exterior of its iOS devices or maybe inject some future tech into its antenna design using this, but in the end, the patent references using Liquidmetal for fuel cells.
Apple has long been rumored to be exploring fuel cell technology (especially for its old Powerbook line), so in some circles, the appearance of this patent is pretty exciting news. And last year, the company made an exclusive deal to use Liquidmetal, but it hadn’t really gone anywhere until now. The patent describes using Liquidmetal plates to generate electricity by acting as a catalyst in chemical reactions that separate electrons from hydrogen. That might sound kind of scary to the layperson, but the byproducts are just water and heat, making for an extremely clean process.

No wonder fuel cells are a very “in” technology these days. They’re not only eco-friendly (unlike current mobile batteries), but they’re also cheap and incredibly efficient.
Chemistry, blah blah, so unsexy, right? WRONG. This is some crazy cool stuff. Imagine being able to let your phone languish for a month without charging, or running your laptop for nearly a whole day on its own power. There are even bigger ones that can run buildings.http://www.bestlaptopbattery.co.uk/toshiba/pa3399u-1brs.htm
So why aren’t fuel cells more prevalent? Well, a lot of companies are waiting for the day that safe, reliable ones can be manufactured with materials that have a longevity span of several years. With Liquidmetal’s durable and corrosion-proof characteristics, that day might be coming soon. And hopefully, it will be in our ridiculously long-life iPhone 5s or 6s.

Google seems to be working on a Tablet to rival Apple’s wonder tablet

As reported earlier, Google seems to be working on a Tablet to rival Apple’s wonder tablet computer; the iPad. And interestingly we know that it does Flash too!google-chrome-tablet from http://www.bestlaptopbattery.co.uk
Now what adds more fuel to this debate is a recent report by the WSJ that claims that “Verizon Wireless is workingwith Google Inc. on a tablet computer”. The confirmation was brought by the carrier’s chief executive, Lowell McAdam.
Verizon Wireless declined to discuss details on the timing or the manufacturer of a such a tablet. Google’s role in the tablet wasn’t immediately clear, though Mr. McAdam mentioned it in the context of the discussions the two companies have about bringing new smartphones to market.

However, to the most of us this shouldn’t come as a surprise as Google had previously shown interest in bringing Android and Chrome OS to the market on a tablet computer and even shared a video mockup.
For now the details of the tablet are all under the hood but now with Microsoft Courier and HP Slate out of the scene, this is our only contender for the ‘iPad Killer’ but will it be? Also not to mention we have a Blackpad by RIM and Hurricane by HP in the pipeline as well.

Apple could remove home button in next-gen iPad, iPhone

An unverified report claims that Apple is planning to remove the home button on the iPad and iPhone as early as later this year, relying instead on multitouch gestures to return to the home  screen.Welcome to bestlaptopbattery.co.uk
Boy Genius Report is reporting that, according to one of its sources,  Apple is already testing iPads and iPhones without home buttons on  its Cupertino, Calif., campus. However, since the report itself admits  the information is "pretty wild," readers should take it with a grain of  salt.
"We are told that Apple, at some point in time, will remove the home button from the iPad’s design. Instead of button taps, you will use new multitouch gestures to navigate to the home screen and also to launch the app switcher," the report predicted.
"It's possible we will see this new change materialize with the next-generation iPad and iPhone devices set to launch this year," wrote author Jonathan S. Geller.ipad by bestlaptopbattery.co.uk The report also cites new multitouch gestures from a beta version of  iOS 4.3 released Wednesday that enable a 5-finger pinch gesture for  accessing the home screen. Other gestures new to the beta include a  swipe up to reveal the multitasking tray and a swipe left or right to  switch between open applications.
Apple's iLife and photo-taking application Photo Booth could also  make their way onto the next iPad, the report speculated.
Though BGR has had a respectable track record with AT&T and  iPhone announcements, its Apple-related predictions have been less accurate. In 2009, the site incorrectly claimed that Blu-Ray support was coming to iTunes 9.
More recently, the site reported that a cloud version of iTunes with wireless syncing was "definitely happening soon." Last January,BGR reported "Apple tablet-related news" involving a "solid Apple / Verizon connection."

Hands-on with the Kno Tablet Textbooks

Hands-on with the Kno Tablet Textbooks - http://www.bestlaptopbattery.co.uk
Kno Tablet Textbooks from bestlaptopbattery.co.uk
Last week at CES we had the chance to see the Kno tablets in action for the first time since it went on sale last month. The Kno comes in both dual and single screen models, both featuring the same software and most of the same features. What really sets them apart is their size. Both models feature 14.1-inch displays. And yes, the dual-screen one is two 14 inchers put together. This means a textbook-sized canvas for students to work on.
Though large, neither tablet was as heavy as I assumed it would be. The single screen weighs 2.6 pounds and the dual weighs 5.6 – about as much as a notebook of that size. And yes, the dual-screen one looks a little unwieldy. But, as you’ll see in the video, the hinge design allows students to fold it both ways, so it’s usable even when you have a small desk space to work with.
The tablets cost $599 and $899 respectively. Steep for students, but it’s the same investment they’d made in a good computer. Plus, textbooks cost less in digital form.

Who will be Best BigCo in 2011? -http://www.bestlaptopbattery.co.uk
Despite concerns ranging from privacy to de-emphasizing third party content, Facebook is a source of joy for many millions of people. It helps keep families and friends stay connected, enables users to track news from their social network, keeps people amused with games, and much more. In 2010, there was no other Internet company as influential as Facebook.
    Runners-Up: Apple, GoogleHonorable
    Mentions

After winning Best BigCo in 2008, Apple was a runner-up last year and has been very impressive again in 2010. The launch of the iPad was the highlight - another groundbreaking consumer Internet device that re-defined a market! Apple also released a new version of the iPhone this year, along with improvements to its iPhone OS such as multi-tasking. The new phone had technical issues with the antenna, but still sold extremely well.
Apple's App Store continued to dominate the mobile app market in 2010, although the Android marketplace is catching up. Overall, another great year for Steve Jobs and co.
Google has won our BigCo award 3 times over 7 years and never fails to impress. This year Google made great strides in the all-important mobile market, with Android making up ground on iPhone. It continued to dominate search, despite a big marketing push from Microsoft's Bing. Google showed that it can still innovate in search, with enhancements such as Instant Search. It also made progress in key markets such as enterprise (with Google Apps) and Internet TV (with Google TV).
    Welcome to bestlaptopbattery.co.uk
Things didn't go all Google's way this year, however. Its innovative Wave product was farmed out as an open source project, the launch of a social media tracking service called Google Buzz was a flub, and Google had many critics in the privacy debate (for Google Street View in particular). Overall though, it was a strong year for Google - albeit with some speed wobbles.
Several traditional computing companies positioned themselves well on the Internet this year. HPand IBM both put resourcing behind the Internet of Things. Chip maker Intel made cloud computing a focus this year and also bought McAfee. It was a strong year too for Salesforce.com - its enterprise collaboration product Chatter was among our Top 10 Enterprise Products of 2010.
We won't go into too much detail with the 'also rans.' It was another disappointing year for bothYahoo! and eBay. It may be unfair to lump AOL, Adobe and Mozilla into this bucket, yet each of them struggled to make an impact with their various Web products.

Primary batteries are electrical storage batteries that cannot be recharged

You Need To Know About Primary Battery Leakage
    http://www.bestlaptopbattery.co.uk
All too often, we receive a message from a customer whose expensive flashlight has been ruined by an inexpensive set of batteries.  And in many cases, the manufacturer will not honor a warranty service request when the cause of flashlight failure is battery failure.  Over the years, we have found that a great number of flashlight users are not aware that their batteries have limited lifespans, nor that dead batteries can do some really serious damage, until they learn those lessons the hard way.  But most of these unfortunate events can be very easily prevented.Welcome to bestlaptopbattery.co.uk
Primary batteries are electrical storage batteries that cannot be recharged.  Today, rechargeable flashlight systems (and to a lesser extent, aftermarket rechargeable batteries intended for use in conventional flashlights) are continuing to gain in popu-larity.  Nonetheless, the vast majority of flashlights in use around the world today are still powered by disposable primary batteries.  The most common types of primary batteries for use in flashlights are carbon / zinc, alkaline, and lithium.  Each type has specific advantages and disadvantages, but all of them have a limited storage life.
Low-cost carbon batteries, now most commonly known as "heavy duty" batteries, are the oldest "dry battery" technology for flashlights, and they have been around for many decades.  Carbon batteries are usually very inexpensive, but they have a very limited energy capacity, resulting in relatively short shelf life (storage time) and operating life(run time).  Carbon batteries exhibit a typical initial shelf life of just one to three years, depending on the battery size and brand quality.
    Acer as07b41 battery
Lithium batteries also weigh less and tolerate temperature extremes better than most other types, but they usually cost much more, and can become hazardous if damaged.
